Introduction as new member

Dear members of the ontolex group,

 

I would like to introduce myself as new member of this community group. In addition, I would like to take the chance explaining the reasons of my employer Insiders-Technologies participating in the group.

 

My name is Benjamin Adrian. I studied computer science at the University of Kaiserslautern in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Afterwards I worked five years at the German research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) [1] as doctoral student. There, I made my PHD (which I am going to publish in a few weeks) on Information Extraction technologies in the scope of Semantic Web data. At DFKI, I participated in the W3C RDFa Working group and its successor, the RDF Web Application Working Group.

 

Since January, I have been working at Insiders-Technologies [2], which is a medium sized company (~ 100 employees) with a focus on information extraction and document analysis in the field of input management.

 

My position at Insiders is Product Owner of the emerging product smart REPLY, which is an E-Mail Management system. The scope of smart REPLY's functionality comprises the application of statistical, linguistic, and semantic analysis for classifying categories, detecting complaints, and enriching text content with additional information from corporate knowledge bases, such as CRM, ERP, or HR systems.

Hence, managing lexical and semantic entities in representation forms that facilitate entity recognition and disambiguation tasks is an important issue.  This and the opportunity  to meeting experts is the reason for us to participate in the ontolex group. I am looking  forward to provide you with a lot of customer needs in the area of recognizing ontological entities in text.
