Dear ODRL WG, The profiles vocabulary who’s Editors Draft is about to be issued as a 3rd Public Working Draft [1] has just been decided on to be issued as a WG Note, not a Rec. This is because it’s clear that some of the Dataset Exchange WG want a broader scope for the vocab than time permits if it’s to be issued as a Rec. The core semantics of the vocabulary remain unchanged since it was presented to you all, so the work you’ve done to represent RuleML etc. in PROF is still valid, however, since the Note is only due for finalization in December, there is the opportunity for you to request more features for the vocab if you wish. To review the vocab as it is now (there are lots more examples and alignments included in the doc now) please see [1]. To be involved in feature requests or to raise any other issues, please use the GitHub Issues tracker [2] and just tag Issues with “profiles-vocabulary”. Please note that the Dataset Exchange WG still intends to present a “Profile Guidance” document on as a WG Note by December too [3] but this document isn’t really ready for serious external review yet to this link is just a sneak peek! That document will be boarder in scope than the vocabulary even and will consider ODRL profile formulation instructions.
