Advance Notice: W3C Workshops on Smart Voice Agents and AI Agents & the Web

Hello,

This is an early notice that the W3C Team is currently preparing for the 
following two workshops:

* Smart Voice Agents Workshop
* AI Agents & the Web Workshop

The Smart Voice Agents Workshop will focus on voice technology and the 
interoperability of its user interface, while the AI Agents & the Web 
Workshop will explore AI capabilities, LLMs, planning, and reasoning.

Smart Voice Agents Workshop
----------------------------
The draft Call for Participation is currently under development and 
available at:
   https://w3c.github.io/smartagents-workshop/

The main focuses of the workshop are:
1. To assess the current status of voice-enabled smart platforms
    integrating multi-vendor services, applications and devices.
2. To discuss the current state of voice interaction technology for
    global deployment across all languages, including optimized integration
    of LLMs to enhance natural language understanding and generation.
3. To identify pain points, technological gaps, and their potential
    impact on Web standards.

We are forming a Program Committee for the workshop and welcome your 
feedback on the draft Call for Participation via GitHub Issues at:
   https://github.com/w3c/smartagents-workshop/issues

The workshop is currently planned for September 2025, before TPAC 2025.

AI Agents & the Web Workshop
-----------------------------
This workshop aims to gather stakeholders to discuss AI Agents and 
identify potential areas for standardization. The workshop will explore:

1. AI Agents in the Web Ecosystem
2. Inter-Agent Communication
3. Use Cases and Requirements for AI Agents
4. Potential needs and opportunities for Web standardization to
     support AI Agents and a possible future Agentic web.

This workshop is still in the early planning phase; and the Team is 
evaluating when and where it would be best organized.
