Call for Participation: Patents & Standards Interest Group Charter Approved; Join the PSIG

Hello,

As a follow-up to this announcement, W3C has approved the charter of the 
Patents & Standards Interest Group today:

The group is chartered through 7 January 2027.

The Patents & Standards Interest Group (PSIG) is designed as a forum for 
W3C Members and Invited Experts to discuss and provide feedback on 
Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) matters concerning W3C, including the 
W3C Patent Policy and W3C copyright in particular as well as larger 
issues regarding intellectual property rights, patents, licenses and Web 
standards.

The group chairs are Sarah Dukmen (Amazon), Ishna Neamatullah (Google), 
and Anna Weinberg (Apple). The Team Contact is Rigo Wenning, 
<rigo@w3.org>, for a total of 0.05 FTE.

Today W3C Advisory Committee Representatives received a Proposal
to review a draft charter for the Patents & Standards Interest Group:

As part of ensuring that the community is aware of proposed work
at W3C, this draft charter is public during the Advisory
Committee review period.

W3C invites public comments through 04:59 UTC on 2024-12-11
(23:59, Boston time on 2024-12-10) [0] on the proposed charter.
Please send comments (use the group name as subject line) to
public-review-comments@w3.org, which has a public archive:

Other than comments sent in formal responses by W3C Advisory
Committee Representatives, W3C cannot guarantee a response to
comments. If you work for a W3C Member [1], please coordinate
your comments with your Advisory Committee Representative. For

have your Advisory Committee Representative refer to it in their formal 
review.
