Hello, The W3C Advisory Committee received an advance notice today that the W3C team invites input on the possible charter of a WebVR Working Group. In March of this year [1], we indicated initial work had started on setting up a W3C Working Group to standardize the work started in the WebVR Community Group [2]. The ensuing discussions have led to the writing of a draft charter for a WebVR Working Group: https://w3c.github.io/webvr-charter/vr-wg-charter.html This charter is tightly focused on standardizing the latest evolution of the CG work known as WebVR 2.0: https://w3c.github.io/webvr/spec/latest/ We intend to bring this charter for Advisory Committee review later this month, with the aim of having the group ready for a face-to-face meeting during TPAC 2017. We would welcome input and feedback before the formal review, ideally before June 15. Ideally, that feedback would be brought to the public Github repository where the charter is being developed: https://github.com/w3c/webvr-charter Alternatively, discussions can happen on the public mailing list of the WebVR Community Group <public-webvr@w3.org> (archive [3]). Members may also discuss on <w3c-ac-forum@w3.org>. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact Dominique Hazaƫl-Massieux <dom@w3.org>. This announcement follows section 5.2.2 of the W3C Process Document: https://www.w3.org/2017/Process-20170301/#WGCharterDevelopment Thank you, Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications [1] https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-new-work/2017Mar/0009.html [2] https://www.w3.org/community/webvr/ [3] https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-webvr/
