Greetings, Music Notation colleagues: I am on an extended trip from my home base in Canada to Austria, followed by Italy, until the end of November. If there are colleagues in these cities working on MusicXML-related projects, or digital musicology more generally, I would find it interesting to buy you a cup of coffee and learn more about your work. It is gratifying to put faces to the email addresses on this list. I also expect I would find the range of activities of this list's subscribers to be fascinating. My own interest is in transcribing legacy printed scores in mainstream notation to digital form, and giving those scores away for free, through the Keyboard Philharmonic project. I am in Wien/Vienna now, through 18. September. I am in Venezia/Venice in late September-early October, in Napoli/Naples and Roma/Rome in mid-October, in Firenze/Florence in early November, and in Bologna in late November. If anyone would be interested in meeting face to face, please reply to me by email at <jdlh@jdlh.com>. You could also phone or text me on my mobile +43 660 7481305 (but that number may change in October).
