Yes that works...

Kim mentioned that the visible label needs to --start-- the invisible
label... but James says a link activates if only part of it is spoken... so
I think there needs to be testing to determine whether the string needs to
at the start the invisible label or not.

Depending on the results of that testing the language could be:

Where an active control has invisible and visible labels, the invisible
label includes the string of the text used for its visible label.
OR
Where an active control has invisible and visible labels, the invisible
label starts with the string of the text used for its visible label.
