Re: Alternatives to Creditor/Debtor

FWIW I don’t think we are getting to the shades of distinction needed.

As I see it we have

  1. The-party-who-must-do-it

  1. The-party-to-whom-it-is-done

  1. The-party-who-specifies-the-above

And possibly more. Before choosing terms, should we come up with what we think is a more comprehensive list of roles?

thanks

Subject: Alternatives to Creditor/Debtor

Hi everyone,

We’ve remarked several times about how the terms Debtor and Creditor are confusing when talking about Duties. Let’s see if we can find new terms to describe the party that requires a Duty, and the party that must fulfill the Duty. Please submit your suggestions for alternate terms to the Alternatives to Creditor/Debtor<https://github.com/w3c/market-data-odrl-profile/issues/17> issue.

We’ll try to agree on a new set of terms on Wednesday’s call.

Best,
Mark
