The unsung hero of this effort may very well be our friend, John Foliot, whose repeated concerns to me, back in 2019, about WCAG 3 not addressing continuous improvement inspired this idea that we should develop a maturity model, in the first place. We’ve grown from a 2020 grassroots effort with a few of us in the AGWG Silver Task Force exploring this as a subcommittee to a full-blown Task Force of our own with wide reaching implications. I’d like to see this publication evolve into an official W3C Statement and then explore normative applications for our work.
