To answer my own question, we probably disable the hover state, that’ll be simpler all-around!

Hi Stephen,
I have a quick question about testing 1.4.13 Content on Hover or Focus that came up whilst we’re assessing a site for an implementation.
Taking this page: https://www.nomensa.com/
Under ‘We think bigger’ there are some boxes with mouseover (and focus) changes.
These boxes ‘trigger additional content’ on hover and focus, and hide it when moving hover/focus.
The hoverable and persistent bullets are fine, I’m not sure about dismissible?
You can’t dismiss the content without moving the focus, but it does obscure the background image when you focus over it (to make it clearer!).
It doesn’t feel like it should fail (i.e. it doesn’t seem to be an issue in practice), but it seems a strict reading of the SC would fail it unless we came up with a mechanism to dismiss the content whilst still hovering over the box.
Does that match your interpretation?
Kind regards,
-Alastair
