Dear all, In the context of the ontolex working group (http://www.w3.org/community/ontolex/), we are providing a lexical metadata vocabulary extending the void vocabulary. So, two questions, in order to correctly extend (and use) void: 1) Class extension for void:Dataset I would like to get confirmed is if the definition of void:Dataset is including owl vocabularies. The definition of void:Dataset (http://www.w3.org/TR/void/#dataset ) states: The fundamental concept of VoID is the dataset. A dataset is a set of RDF triples that are published, maintained or aggregated by a single provider. [CUT] In principle, it could include the notion of OWL ontology (a set of published RDF triples) though it is not totally clear from the full description. Also, in all the document, they talk about sparqlendpoint, http dereferenciation (ok, it works implicitly for ontologies) and dumps. That is, not a mention is done about cases for ontology vocabularies. One other hint comes from the definition of the void:vocabulary property. Nothing formal here too in one sense or the other, but here it seems to hint at the fact that these are distinct entities. Actually, not strictly, as an owl:Ontology (as a Dataset) could be using the classes and properties of another owl:Ontology <http://rdfs.org/ns/void#vocabulary> void:vocabulary A vocabulary or owl:Ontology whose classes or properties are used in a void:Dataset. <http://www.w3.org/TR/void/#vocabularies> Section 4.3 One last hint is given by the VOAF vocabulary ( <http://purl.org/vocommons/voaf> http://purl.org/vocommons/voaf), where they define voaf:Vocabulary (http://purl.org/vocommons/voaf#Vocabulary) as a subclass of void:Dataset, though in any case, it is just an interpretation of void given by another vocabulary author. So, what should I assume? 2) Error in void:subset example on the void specs? All examples in the void specifications (http://www.w3.org/TR/void/), and the definition in section 8 (http://www.w3.org/TR/void/#cheatsheet ) seem to suggest the structure of a triple for this property is: dataset void:subset subset_of_dataset .but in section 5.2 (http://www.w3.org/TR/void/#linkset-subset ) it is being used in the opposite way: :DBpedia_Geonames a void:Linkset; void:target :DBpedia; void:target :Geonames; void:subset :DBpedia; void:triples 252000; . Can anyone confirm if it is the use in 5.2 being wrong? Thanks for any help, Armando
