Hello Clemens, Thanks for pointing out the OGC Discrete Global Grid Systems Standards Working Group. Again I learned something new, and it is good to see that the OGC is on the case. Discrete global grids seem to be a common factor in new ways of identifying a location. I wonder how plate tectonics, and the resulting temporal aspect of fixing a place on earth is tackled in discrete global grids.
