Ashok, The difference between Indirect Containers and the other types of container is not in the capacity of accepting creation requests, but in the capacity of accepting creation requests " that result in members being added based on the content of its contained documents rather than the URIs assigned to those documents." This is to address the case of non-information resources as described on the wiki: https://www.w3.org/2012/ldp/wiki/index.php?title=Containers&oldid=3233#IndirectContainer -- Arnaud Le Hors - Software Standards Architect - IBM Software Group From: Ashok Malhotra <ashok.malhotra@oracle.com> To: "public-ldp-wg@w3.org" <public-ldp-wg@w3.org>, Date: 02/10/2014 04:24 PM Subject: Creating members The definition of LDP-IC says ... Linked Data Platform Indirect Container (LDP-IC) A LDPC that is similar to a LDP-DC and is capable of accepting creation requests that result in members being added based on the content of its contained documents rather than the URIs assigned to those documents. I may be reading this incorrectly but it seems to say that only LDP-ICs accept creation requests. Later in the document it says that all containers accept POST and perhaps PUT to create members. Please clarify. -- All the best, Ashok
