Hello,
There are, by my count, 13 meetings between now and XML Prague, at which
we have previously expressed a desire to announce a finished 1.0.
There are twenty open issues. Some are related so I don’t think that’s
twenty separate topics, but it’s a bunch and some of them are
complicated.
There are some outstanding, unreviewed pull requests that would close
some of them.
The “big issues” off the top of my head are:
+ Resolving the ambiguity in the ixml grammar for ixml
+ Describing the conformance for grammars and processors (hygiene, etc.)
+ Accepting a proposal for pragmas
There are open email threads and issues for most of these. It would be
useful, I think, if folks could respond by email or as comments on the
issues identifying where there’s agreement and disagreement.
Generally, I think if we want to have a realistic chance of being
finished in 13 weeks, we need to start using the time between meetings
more productively.
Be seeing you,
norm
