In Adobe we refer to 電算写植機 as “proprietary systems” when comparing them to DTP or other tech. I think using the full term Taro suggested is accurate.

山本さん、歴史の授業ありがとうございます。発展につれていろんな言い方があったんですね。
より明確なように photo- はつけておこうと思います。日本語では電算写植で良さそうですね。
