Hi all,

I had a look at "Best Practice 7: Provide a way to specify ruby text".

My high-level feedback is the following: 

1. 

Quote> Make sure the its:ruby element is available in all elements where
there is text.

Might we restrict ourselves to "elements where there is translatable text"?

2.

Quote> Ruby text is used to provide a short annotation of the associated
base text.
Quote> Ruby provides markup for phonetic or semantic annotation of text such
as is common in Far Eastern scripts for Japanese and Chinese. 

I wonder if we could not unify these statements (eg. by drawing more closely
on wording from the Ruby FAQ).

3.

The Ruby FAQ says

> For ruby support in markup use Ruby Annotation, which became a W3C
Recommendation and part of XHTML 1.1 in May 2001.

Isn't this in conflict with our recommendation to use "its:ruby"?

4.

Quote> The its:ruby element is part of the ITS "Ruby" data category.

Should this rather be "... implements the ITS "Ruby" data category"?
