Folks, [A] RESOURCES I preparation for discussion on Wednesday, here is a proposal. We currently show resources for each technique in the techniques document. This has two disadvantages: [1] it makes the document longer and less easy to read [2] it cannot be updated after the document has been published - eg. when a really useful new FAQ appears I therefore propose that we use a separate file for the resources. To that end, I have spent much of today sprucing up and fixing the previously existing resources list that was coupled with the outline document. http://www.w3.org/International/geo/html-tech/resources (Note that it is in a new location, too.) I suggest we link to this document from the techniques doc. [B] TECHNIQUES INDEX I also created an index that will link users to topics in the techniques docs more easily. It will cover all techniques documents, and will be a task-based equivalent to our current topic index. It also does two more things: [1] strengthens the visibility of and ease of access to the outline [2] provides a quick way of accessing the resources See http://www.w3.org/International/technique-index It is currently linked from 'Techniques' under 'Resource Type' on the top right of the home page, but I will hopefully improve on this as the home page is redesigned.
