All, I have reviewed the current XMLHTTPRequest draft and compared it to our comments. The draft reviewed: http://www.w3.org/TR/2008/WD-XMLHttpRequest-20080415/ The comments: http://www.w3.org/International/reviews/0711-xhr/ The following items are substantive to the I18N Core WG and I don't believe they have been fully satisfied: Item 4: Case-insensitive matching. We suggested text noting that case-insensitive had to be done in a locale-neutral manner. This has not been implemented. Item 5: We asked for a specific health warning recommending the use of UTF-8 (see our table). They didn't insert our warning and instead inserted: Note: Authors are encouraged to simply encode their resources using UTF-8. This wording isn't very specific and might be misleading, since the encoding should be announced properly, etc. Item 6: The health warning about header concatenation of headers with structure is not provided. Item 8: They did not implement our request for some mention about language negotiation. I've added a topic to next week's teleconference for this item.
