r12a has just submitted a new pull request for https://github.com/w3c/predefined-counter-styles:

== Add CDAC's Indian styles ==
Adds the following: [Arabic] kashmiri, [Bengali] bangla, [Devanagari] bodo, dogri, konkani, maithili, marathi, sanskrit, sindhi, [Gujarati] gujarati-alpha, [Gurmukhi] punjabi, [Kannada] kannada-alpha, [Malayalam] malayalam-alpha, [Meetei] manipuri, [Ol Chiki] santali, [Oriya] odia, [Telugu] telugu.
Changes from CDAC original information include:
- all: added trailing space after suffix throughout
- bangla: changed bengali to bangla
- bangla: decomposed 3 precomposed characters to match Unicode usage expectations
- kashmiri: changed arabic heh for heh goal
- sindhi: decomposed precomposed characters
- malayalam: convert  'ന ̇' to 'ൻ'
- odia: decompose 2 precomposed characters
- various fixes for typos
- added -alpha to some names to distinguish from the numeric style
Applied a consistent style for describing alternative prefix/suffix styles
