I would have to point out that even using Japanese IME, mose fonts will still mae U+301C similar to U+FF5E. Only Microsoft YaHei had make U+301C on a different direction as U+FF5E is more similar to writing style: ![image](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/33471049/95986919-4b1cf800-0e59-11eb-9992-3366330f9424.png) And in vertical form, all the font unanimously uses the "Real Vertical" form: ![image](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/33471049/95987374-eca44980-0e59-11eb-9fe4-4b4d2e8e1248.png) “重訂標點符號手冊” had used the wrong symbol in [that picture](https://language.moe.gov.tw/001/upload/files/site_content/m0001/hau/h15.jpg). I do agree both codepoint should use the "Real Vertical" form no matter Chinese/Japanese font. -- GitHub Notification of comment by NightFurySL2001 Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/clreq/issues/337#issuecomment-708364035 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
