chaps, as discussed during a recent telecon, i have put together a list of threads from the www-style list that pose questions as to how things should be done for Arabic. It's not an exhaustive list. the idea is that it might help us prioritise which sections to work on in alreq. here is the list: 'letter-spacing' and Arabic http://www.w3.org/Mail/flatten/index?subject=I18N-ISSUE-333&list=www-style Shaping Isolation and Layout Separation of Inlines http://www.w3.org/Mail/flatten/index?subject=Shaping+Isolation+and+Layout+Separation+of+Inlines&list=www-style Questions about letter-spacing for Arabic script http://www.w3.org/Mail/flatten/index?subject=I18N-ISSUE-354&list=www-style letter-spacing tests http://www.w3.org/Mail/flatten/index?subject=letter-spacing+tests&list=www-style Arabic hyphenation http://www.w3.org/Mail/flatten/index?subject=I18N-ISSUE-345&list=www-style Arabic letters connecting between elements with display: inline http://www.w3.org/Mail/flatten/index?subject=I18N-ISSUE-358&list=public-i18n-core Arabic letters connecting between elements with display: inline http://www.w3.org/Mail/flatten/index?subject=Arabic+letters+connecting+between+elements+with++display%3A++inline&list=www-style Arabic and generic families http://www.w3.org/Mail/flatten/index?subject=Arabic+and+generic+families&list=www-style No kashida style or relationship to styles 'distribute' and 'inter-word' http://www.w3.org/Mail/flatten/index?subject=I18N-ISSUE-331&list=www-style Synthesizing oblique, to which direction in RTL and vertical flow? http://www.w3.org/Mail/flatten/index?subject=Synthesizing+oblique%2C+to+which+direction+in+RTL+and++vertical+flow%3F&list=www-style it's probably also worth going to https://drafts.csswg.org/css-text-3/ and searching the page for mentions of Arabic. hope that helps, ri
