Not sure how long this has been in the spec but I happened to look at the nav element [1] today and noticed that the first example contained microdata. There are several parts of the specification that contain microdata (look for the itemprop, itemscope and itemtype attributes). Wasn’t it agreed that the examples in the main HTML5 specification should not contain this? Or is this just an error while trying to merge WHATWG changes?
