What "legacy issues"? @hidden doesn't seem widely used in the wild, so I'm not sure how it can have legacy issues yet… The accessibility story for web components, like <canvas>, involves mapping accessibility objects to visual regions, so it seems different from @hidden. -- Benjamin Hawkes-Lewis
