https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=16400 Summary: 'radio button group' rule issue Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: PC OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: HTML5 spec (editor: Ian Hickson) AssignedTo: ian@hixie.ch ReportedBy: tkent@chromium.org QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: mike@w3.org, public-html-wg-issue-tracking@w3.org, public-html@w3.org http://dev.w3.org/html5/spec/Overview.html#radio-button-group If we follow the rules of 'radio button group', an orphan radio button and non-orphan radio button are in a same group. It makes some problems. For example, <body> <input type=radio name=group1 id=r1 checked> <script> var clone = document.getElementById('r1').cloneNode(); </script> </body> The r1 button is unchecked because the 'clone' is added to the same group. Proposal: Update the following sentence: * Either a and b have the same form owner, or they both have no form owner. ==> * Either a and b have the same form owner, or they both are in a Document subtree and have no form owner. -- Configure bugmail: https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
