Hi Paul, In regards to the text in question I am prepared to withdraw my change proposal in favour of Teds. This still leaves us with one possible point of disagreement, detailed by Rich [3] and commented on by Maciej [4], for which there has not as yet been any feedback from Frank or Ted. I have made an edit [1] to ted's proposal detailing the requested change to the text contained within revision 7029 [2] If this edit to Ted's change proposal is acceptable to Ted and Frank, then I believe we can proceed to CFC I look forward to hearing from Frank and Ted so we can progress this issue towards resolution. regards SteveF [1] http://www.w3.org/html/wg/wiki/index.php?title=User:Eoconnor/ISSUE-201&diff=13386&oldid=13385 [2] http://html5.org/r/7029 [3] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html/2012Jul/0204.html [4] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html/2012Jul/0241.html On 2 August 2012 17:49, Paul Cotton <Paul.Cotton@microsoft.com> wrote: > Steve: > > Are you willing to withdraw your change proposal at: > http://www.w3.org/html/wg/wiki/ChangeProposals/hitregions > in favour of the change proposal at: > http://www.w3.org/html/wg/wiki/User:Eoconnor/ISSUE-201 ? > > If so then the Chairs will proceed with a Call For Consensus on http://www.w3.org/html/wg/wiki/User:Eoconnor/ISSUE-201 > > /paulc > HTML WG co-chair > > Paul Cotton, Microsoft Canada > 17 Eleanor Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K2E 6A3 > Tel: (425) 705-9596 Fax: (425) 936-7329 > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Edward O'Connor [mailto:eoconnor@apple.com] > Sent: Thursday, August 02, 2012 12:20 PM > To: Frank Olivier > Cc: Philippe Le Hegaret; Steve Faulkner; Richard Schwerdtfeger; public-html-a11y@w3.org; public-html@w3.org > Subject: Re: Updates to Issue-201 Change Proposal per our conversation > > Hi Frank, > > You wrote: > >> Steve's proposed text below looks reasonable; I believe this addition >> sufficiently explains the correct usage for authors. > > I assume this is the change we're supposed to review: > > http://www.w3.org/html/wg/wiki/index.php?title=User%3AEoconnor%2FISSUE-201&diff=13295&oldid=13278 > > If so, it looks fine to me. > > > Ted > > > -- with regards Steve Faulkner Technical Director - TPG www.paciellogroup.com | www.HTML5accessibility.com | www.twitter.com/stevefaulkner HTML5: Techniques for providing useful text alternatives - dev.w3.org/html5/alt-techniques/ Web Accessibility Toolbar - www.paciellogroup.com/resources/wat-ie-about.html
