Colleagues: In response to the LC of HTML5 specification [1], the Web&TV IG chairs asked all IG participants to review the specification and raise issues they may find during their review. Some participants reviewed the specification and raised their comments directly into the W3C Bugzilla System. Given the lack of time and also the structure of the IG, we didn't have an IG-wide review of these comments. However, one of the IG Task Forces (namely The Media Pipeline TF) considered the comments relevant and decided to "endorse" them. Note that in this case, endorsement doesn't mean that the solution (if any) proposed in the bugs is the preferred one, but just that the issue raised is important from a Web & TV perspective. The Web & TV IG would welcome a broad discussion inside the HTML Working Group on how to address these issues. The Media Pipeline TF participants (and in general IG participants) are happy to contribute to that discussion. The LC bugs endorsed are the following: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=13333 http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=13357 http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=13358 http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=13359 http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=13625 Note that even though this email will arrive after the LC deadline (sorry for that), the bugs were registered with the Bugzilla system before the deadline. Thanks and Best Regards, Giuseppe Pascale, on behalf of Web & TV IG co-chairs [1] http://www.w3.org/TR/2011/WD-html5-20110525/ -- Giuseppe Pascale TV & Connected Devices Opera Software - Sweden
