Hello HTML WG, I promised that by today I would have an update that addressed all editorial bugs and at least one substantive bug. I have gone further and have now addressed all bugs that are directly actionable. The latest draft is here: <http://dev.w3.org/html5/decision-policy/decision-policy-v2.html> I have made an organizational change so that it is easier to see at a glance the set of different policies defined in this draft, which should make it easier to review. The following 7 bugs are resolved since the last time I posted: "Typo: will will" <http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=12104> "Various typos in Decision Policy" <http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=12733> "Bug originators should be allowed to mark their own bugs INVALID" <http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=12731> "There should be a way to disagree without escalating to an ISSUE" <http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=12732> "The Decision Policy should give an overview of the policies it defines" <http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=12811> "Describe enhanced change control in Decision Policy" <http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=12675> "Define a process for "particularly exceptional circumstances"" <http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=12029> The following 6 bugs remain unresolved. For each of these, I am waiting for input from my co-Chairs. Input from the WG on suggested resolutions is also very welcome. "Document policy for First Public Working Drafts" <http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=8895> "Decisions need to be made in timely manner" <http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=10230> "Coordination" <http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=12117> "Require Change Proposals in order to reintroduce a change related to a revert" <http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=11197> "Clarify what types of changes can be made outside the decision process" <http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=12734> "Define process for deciding whether a draft is REC-track or Note-track" <http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=12776> I promised that by today I would set a deadline for resolving remaining bugs. Unfortunately, all the remaining bugs are blocked on input from one or more of my co-Chairs. Therefore I am unable to project a date at this time. I will do so as soon as possible. Again, review is welcome. Once issues are resolved and the WG has had a fair chance for input, we will hold a Call for Consensus to make this new version official. At that point, assuming approval, decision-policy-v2 will overwrite decision-policy. Any further bugs at that point would go towards the next major revision. Regards, Maciej
