valueAsNumber, list, and selectedOption IDL attributes, the select() method,
the selectionStart, selectionEnd, and selectionDirection, IDL attributes, the
setSelectionRange() method, the stepUp() and stepDown() methods, and the input
and change events apply to an input element depends on the state of its type
attribute.
