http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=12922 Summary: Allow privacy exemption for caretBlinkRate Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: PC OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: HTML Canvas 2D Context (editor: Ian Hickson) AssignedTo: ian@hixie.ch ReportedBy: bhawkeslewis@googlemail.com QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: mike@w3.org, public-html-wg-issue-tracking@w3.org, public-html@w3.org The HTML5 specification allows privacy exemptions to reporting navigator attributes in order to allow UAs to avoid fingerprinting. As caretBlinkRate could be used for profiling, conformance requirements for caretBlinkRate should include such an exemption.
