On March 31, the HMTL WG chairs announced the opening of a discussion period on three HTML5 licensing options [1] offered to the HTML WG by the W3C Management and Team. During the WG discussions Mozilla asked that any survey on these options include the CC0 and MIT licenses as alternatives. The preference poll on these licensing options is now available and will run through Thursday May 5: http://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/40318/html5-license-poll-v3/ PLEASE NOTE THAT UNLIKE MANY OTHER WG SURVEYS THIS IS A PREFERENCE POLL AND WE ENCOURAGE ALL WG MEMBERS TO INDICATE THEIR LICENSE PREFERENCE. /paulc [1] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html/2011Mar/0757.html Paul Cotton, Microsoft Canada 17 Eleanor Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K2E 6A3 Tel: (425) 705-9596 Fax: (425) 936-7329
