Participating in the development of the HTML standard

As you may be aware, the HTML standard is co-developed by the W3C and the
WHATWG. As part of this, the WHATWG is always looking for use cases that
have not yet been properly addressed by the Web platform. Since Sam
recently posted an e-mail indicating that the W3C was interested in new
features for HTML, I thought this may be a good time to remind everyone
that you are also welcome to participate in the WHATWG mailing list, where
we discuss adding new features to the HTML standard. For example, at the
moment we are discussing video conferencing, a networking protocol for
peer-to-peer games, and how to style <details> (amongst other things).

For more information, please see the WHATWG home page, which has links to
the FAQ and mailing lists:

   http://www.whatwg.org/

If you would like to request a feature, the best way to do so is to
describe the problem that you are running into. The FAQ (linked to from
the page above) describes the information we look for in such suggestions.

There is no deadline for participating; the WHATWG develops the HTML
standard continuously.

Thanks!
