http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=10738 Summary: Insert 'data-' in the heading/table of contents (editorial) Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: All URL: http://dev.w3.org/html5/spec/elements#custom-data-attr ibute OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P3 Component: HTML5 spec (editor: Ian Hickson) AssignedTo: ian@hixie.ch ReportedBy: xn--mlform-iua@xn--mlform-iua.no QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: mike@w3.org, public-html-wg-issue-tracking@w3.org, public-html@w3.org The Table of Contents doesn't allow authors to easy locate the section about the data-* attribute. The natural way to find it is to search for the string 'data-'. Therefore, please add that string to the heading. As well, the heading of section 3.2.3.8 is 'Embedding custom non-visible data', whereas all other heading under "3.2.3 Global attributes" are referred to as "The FOO attribute". Therefore, the seciotn abotu data-* should have a similar title. Acceptable variants I could think of: "3.2.3.8 The data-* attribute (for custom non-visible data) or, at minimum "3.2.3.8 Embedding custom non-visible data (the data-* attribute) -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
