http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=10944 Summary: WebSRT seems to too much focus on captions Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: HTML5 spec (editor: Ian Hickson) AssignedTo: ian@hixie.ch ReportedBy: mstm@jp.ibm.com QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: mike@w3.org, public-html-wg-issue-tracking@w3.org, public-html@w3.org Section affected: http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/multipage/video.html#websrt-0 WebSRT, especially voice declaration and cue text, seems to have only caption-specific features. As WebSRT is supposed to be used to provide synthesized audio descriptions (and possibly synthesized sign languages in the near future), additional options for audio descriptions would be needed. Or these optional features could be moved to other places, e.g., CSS. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
