http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=11436 Summary: Tweak note on bidi behavior of newline in pre Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows XP Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: HTML5 spec (editor: Ian Hickson) AssignedTo: ian@hixie.ch ReportedBy: aharon.lists.lanin@gmail.com QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: mike@w3.org, public-html-wg-issue-tracking@w3.org, public-html@w3.org A Note in the spec currently states: "A newline in a pre element separates paragraphs for the purposes of the Unicode bidirectional algorithm." 1. This should probably be expanded from newlines, presumably the LF character, to include CR (and its combinations with LF), i.e. s/newline/U+000A LINE FEED (LF) or U+000D CARRIAGE RETURN (CR) character 2. Would it be possible to add a similar note for the textarea element? Should I open a separate bug for that? -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
