I am very confused.  My reading of Dan's message (below)
is that Mike Smith has been interim co-Chair for the last
week, whilst Dan was in New Orleans; Ian has apparently
interpreted the message as implying that Dan is standing
down, and being replaced by Mike.  As, prior to Dan's
message, no-one had seen fit to inform the members of this
WG (other than those who were informed earlier today by
virtue of being members of the W3C) of any of this, I think
it would be extremely helpful if Dan could clarify the
intended meaning of his message.
