**off list** Would the arai describedby property be a suitable replacement for or improvement on @longdesc?

Hi Gregory,

Thanks for those comments. It does look like @longdesc could certainly
be replaced by using the describedby property. I do like the idea of a
multipurpose property that can be applied in many ways, easy to under
stand, author and hopefully support :-)
