Editorial Issues 1 (part of detailed review of common microsyntaxes)

Ratios cites a use of the algorithms within its section. Any reason
why its siblings don't?

The definition of a valid real numbers includes: "with a single U
+002E FULL STOP (".") character somewhere (either before these
numbers, in between two numbers, or after the numbers)". I'd
recommend avoiding using parenthesis here, and include the more
detailed explanation as part of the phrase (possibly as "with a
single U+002E FULL STOP (".") character either before these numbers,
in between two numbers, or after the numbers"). This is clearer than
only using "somewhere" in the main flow of text.
