baconz has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/encrypted-media: == Specify mixed encrypted/unencrypted content == There should be a way to (1) check if the browser supports and (2) specify that a stream contains a mixture of encrypted and unencrypted content. This is particularly important in the case of dynamic ad insertion, where a manifest/playlist may point to content from an out-of-band ad server that knows nothing of the encryption scheme used for the base content. It may also be useful to specify that a stream will contain mixed codecs, but I'm not sure if that belongs in the EME. See: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=597443 Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/encrypted-media/issues/251 using your GitHub account
