Dear colleagues in the AC and Media Extensions Working Group:

I've just posted a FAQ file laying out simple answers to some of the
recurring questions that have arisen during our discussion of EFF's
proposal to add safeguards for security research and interoperability to
the EME project:


Here's a table of contents:

* What is EFF worried about?

* What is EFF proposing?


* Why defend piracy?

* Doesn't the Copyright Office ruling solve this problem?

* What about bug bounties?

* Why don't you get rid of these bad laws?

The initial responses to my earlier post were really helpful in
identifying the areas of confusion about the proposal -- I hope you'll
find that this post clears things up.

I'm looking forward to discussing this further.
