The W3C introduced a new W3C Process [1] last year that combines Last Call and Candidate Recommendation into a single stage in the process [2]. This permits a specification in the “new” Candidate Recommendation stage to be republished without going all the way back thru an additional Last Call.

The HTML Media Extensions WG is issuing a Call for Consensus to move both the EME [3] and MSE [4] specifications to the new Process so that we can more effectively use the “new” Candidate Recommendation part of the Process.

Silence will be taken to mean there is no objection, but positive responses are encouraged. If there are no objections by Tuesday April 19, this resolution will carry.
