RE: CfC: to publish a “Encrypted Media Exstensions" hearbeat Working Draft

This CfC passes and the candidate EME heartbeat working draft will now be forwarded to the HTML WG for its consideration.

Although there have been several negative responses to this CfC none of those responses are deemed sufficient to block the publication of this heartbeat.

At least one of the objections was based on the question of whether EME is in scope of the HTML WG. This question has already been answered by the Team in Feb 2013 in the following message:
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-admin/2013Feb/0122.html

Other objections were actually technical comments on the candidate draft and they have now been filed as bugs on the specifications. Late arriving bugs are not deemed sufficient to block publication of this heartbeat Working Draft.

Subject: CfC: to publish a “Encrypted Media Exstensions" hearbeat Working Draft

This is a Call for Consensus (CfC) to the Media Task Force to publish as a heartbeat Working Draft the following “Encrypted Media Extensions” specification:

       https://dvcs.w3.org/hg/html-media/raw-file/tip/encrypted-media/encrypted-media-wd.html

Silence will be taken to mean there is no objection, but positive responses are encouraged. If there are no objections by Tuesday Sep 24, this resolution will carry.

If this CfC carries within the Media TF then this document will be forwarded to the HTML WG for publication approval by the WG.
