https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=21795 Bug ID: 21795 Summary: MEDIA_KEYERR_HARDWARECHANGE seems like a dup of MEDIA_KEYERR_OUTPUT Classification: Unclassified Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Hardware: PC OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Encrypted Media Extensions Assignee: adrianba@microsoft.com Reporter: steele@adobe.com QA Contact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: mike@w3.org, public-html-media@w3.org It is not clear that a distinction needs to be drawn between these error states. If we defined MEDIA_KEYERR_OUTPUT as an error occurred relating to the output capabilities on the client - including a hardware change during playback - this would seem to be good enough. We don't have an explicit way of requesting a particular set of outputs or output protection at the EME layer, so the specific error about the outputs being wrong doesn't make sense to me. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
