[Bug 12560] Not sure if this is the right place for such a comment, but although support for an external text file for subtitles or captions is a great addition to the standard I would also recommend that display of embedded track data already injected into the media

Rationale: I haven't studied this section of the spec closely, but Silvia's
link does look like it covers what you asked for, and I'm pretty sure she knows
what she's talking about.  :)  Please reopen if you feel that the current text
there doesn't satisfy your request, and explain what changes it could use.
