[Bug 8994] New: HTML+RDFa will process attributes in the XHML namespace as well as the null namespace; XHTML+RDFa does not

http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=8994

Summary: HTML+RDFa will process attributes in the XHML namespace
as well as the null namespace; XHTML+RDFa does not
           Product: HTML WG
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: HTML+RDFa (editor: Manu Sporny)
        AssignedTo: msporny@digitalbazaar.com
        ReportedBy: mjs@apple.com
         QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org
                CC: mike@w3.org, public-html@w3.org,
                    msporny@digitalbazaar.com

Section 6.2 says:

"For each RDFa attribute in the [attributes] list that has a [prefix]] with no
value or a [prefix] with the value of http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml, extract and
use the [normalized value]."

However, XHTML+RDFa does not seem to allow the RDFa attributes to be
namespace-prefixed at all, they are only processed when in a null namespace:

Please remove this inconsistency.
