Given that, I don't really see a problem with including the examples as is. Now if it happens that this conflicts with some other definitions, we should either update those definitions or mention the violation in the spec, but we shouldn't pick an inferior solution because of process. Does anyone care enough about process to fix the process issue (e.g. by registering this parameter on all video and audio types)?
