Summary: vCard: agent: avoid power-of-attorney implication
Product: HTML WG
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: HTML5 spec bugs
AssignedTo: dave.null@w3.org
ReportedBy: Nick_Levinson@yahoo.com

For a vCard, the draft now says an agent is "another person who will act on
behalf of the person or organization."
That's too much authority. To prevent being an unintended grant, either of two
solutions will work:
--- replace "will act" with "may sometimes act"; or
--- add a sentence analogous to that under the property named class regarding
secrecy classification: "This is merely advisory and cannot be considered as
binding for agency."
Thank you.
