http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=7786 Summary: change priority for online whitelist namespaces other than * Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: HTML5 spec bugs AssignedTo: dave.null@w3.org ReportedBy: annevk@opera.com QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: ian@hixie.ch, mike@w3.org, public-html@w3.org I raised this originally on the WHATWG mailing list and there was not much discussion there or different opinions. I think the change makes sense if we are to keep the online whitelist which I believe we do want to keep. The suggestion is to give online whitelist namespaces that are not a single * character priority over fallback namespaces in the "Changes to the networking model" section. This allows you to give everything a fallback using the / fallback namespace except for a few online whitelist namespaces listed in the online whitelist namespace section without requiring fallback entries for them. I have not heard a drawback to this proposal so far. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
