Thank you for this reminder. I am working on sending out an HTML WG CfC to get agreement to do the above.

Paul:

Looking through my archives I see that I addressed an email to Michael Cooper on this point, with cc to you and Michael Smith, back in March.
However, I don't immediately see an email to the list with all the particulars in one place.

Therefore, let me quote my email from 29 March last. Note that the context is our decision to publish an FPWD of the HTML-AAM, which is the successor document. Note also that the "you will work with" reference is to Michael Cooper.

Just a quick note that we now have all TF and WG approvals to move forward with the FPWD of the HTML-AAM.

The HTML-WG decision is here:
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-admin/2015Mar/0096.html

The PF decision is here:
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-pfwg/2015Mar/0234.html

And, the HTML-A11Y TF decision is here:
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-a11y/2015Mar/0054.html

NOTE that the HTML Chairs expect you will work with Mike Smith on this FPWD as it's a joint HTML & PF publication. I'm cc'ing him to give him a heads up.

Also note that:

a.) We have agreement to park the old, unfinished mapping document
as a note, with appropriate added verbiage about not relying on the old version and pointing folks to the new, and
b.) We have agreement, including Judy and PLH, to create a redirect
from the old shortname.

The above is recorded at:
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-admin/2015Mar/0065.html
