Everyone, Here's the upcoming agenda (in HTML [1] as well) of our next telecon on Wed. Again, if possible please e-mail your new and improved use-cases to the list-serv by tomorrow, and then Danny Ayers will add them to the draft of the use-case document [2], which I'm hoping everyone can give a read over before the telecon Wed. I at least want to make sure by our next telecon we decide on what use case to use in the primer/tutorial, and further finalize the use-case document. Convene [2]GRDDL WG meeting of 2006-08-23T15:00Z [3]local times + [4]Zakim teleconference bridge: [5]+1.617.761.6200 code:GRDDL + scribe: Ian o supplementary IRC chat: [6]irc://irc.w3.org:6665/grddl-wg ([7]log to appear) + PROPOSED: to approve [8]GRDDL Working Group Meeting Aug 16 2006 as a true record + roll call, comments on the agenda 2. Finding Best Time for Re-occuring Meetings Next meeting time? Can current time slot (15:00Z Wed.) be re-occuring? Scribe for next meeting? 3. Quick review of [9]Use Cases document, reviewing actions from last meeting + ACTION: DanC and Danja to flesh-out scheduling use-case + ACTION:Chime and Fabien to review Wiki use case. + ACTION: Danja to discuss wiki usecase, queury usecase, and e-learning usecase. + ACTION: DanC and Fabien to elaborate W3C /TR/ case. + ACTION:Chime and DanJa on merging Atom/OWL usecase into XForms usecase + ACTION: BenA to flesh out HTML RDF/A output of GRDDL use cases + ACTION:Harry to discuss with BenA and DanC the XML Schema use-case in context of Creative Commons and OAI. See [10]clarification from DanC. + Discuss possibility of plain old XML use-case (Chime's [11]clinical data). + Make sure we cover Embedded RDF (Ian's structured query use-case) 4. Discussion of Primer Document + Which use-case(s) should we develop into a easy-to-use tutorial and or primer to get a rough draft of in about a month? + ACTION: Ian to propose restructuring of current GRDDL doc(s) 5. Collecting issues with [12]GRDDL submission + Microprofiles: Most microformats don't have a profile URI and almost all do not license RDF transformation. Therefore, we will have to create instance data for our examples. See [13]message from Danja + Concerns with Validation and Testing: See [14]XSLTUnit for one possible tool. How are we going to make sure our XSLT stylesheets (and possibly other mechanisms) work over all (or at least a wide variety) of cases? Overlapping content of microformats and microformat data being in attribute values. Also, read [15]Liam Quinn's Microformat Definition Language paper for further background if you wish. + base URI issue + Preferred transformations, multiple pipelines and multiple arguments: If GRDDL needs this, then should we have a relationship to the [16]XML Processing Model Working Group. What exactly sort of behavior should we allow in the transform, and how to we specify the transform? Should we go outside XSLT? Currently GRDDL is just a single HTML document that converts to RDF. Narrow scope is good unless a use-case shows otherwise. _________________________________________________________ [2] http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/grddl-wg/ [3] http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?month=08&day=16&year=2006&hour=19&min=30&sec=0&p1=0 [4] http://www.w3.org/2002/06/bridge#Zakim [5] tel:+1.617.761.6200;postd=47335 [6] irc://irc.w3.org:6665/grddl-wg [7] http://www.w3.org/2006/08/16-grddl-wg-irc [8] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-grddl-wg/2006Aug/att-0055/16-grddl-wg-minutes.html__charset_UTF-8 [9] http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/grddl-wg/doc43/scenario-gallery.htm [10] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-grddl-wg/2006Aug/0083.html [11] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-grddl-wg/2006Aug/0067.html [12] http://www.w3.org/TeamSubmission/grddl/ [13] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-grddl-wg/2006Aug/0086.html [14] http://www.xsltunit.org/ [15] http://www.idealliance.org/papers/extreme/proceedings/html/2006/Quin01/EML2006Quin01.html [16] http://www.w3.org/XML/Processing/ -- -harry Harry Halpin, University of Edinburgh http://www.ibiblio.org/hhalpin 6B5224
