Dear Group, now that we have AVTs the corresponding child element mark-up is deprecated in many places. Currently, we have the prose "... (deprecated in favor of using an AVT in the XXX attribute) ..." in following places: - http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Forms/wiki/XForms_2.0#The_resource_Element - http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Forms/wiki/XForms_2.0#The_method_Element - http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Forms/wiki/XForms_2.0#The_mediatype_Element_.28for_output.29 - http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Forms/wiki/XForms_2.0#The_mediatype_Element_.28for_upload.29 * - http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Forms/wiki/XForms_2.0#The_case_Element_Child_of_the_toggle_Element - http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Forms/wiki/XForms_2.0#The_control_Element_Child_of_the_setfocus_Element - http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Forms/wiki/XForms_2.0#The_name_Child_Element - http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Forms/wiki/XForms_2.0#The_targetid_Child_Element - http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Forms/wiki/XForms_2.0#The_delay_Child_Element I think it would be better to make this fact more apparent to the reader by inserting a leading paragraph (like in http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Forms/wiki/XForms_2.0#The_resource_Element_child_of_load). I'm not that familiar with specxml, but maybe there is even some mark-up to highlight deprecation visually. Furthermore, the deprecation is mentioned in the heading of the p3ptype property http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Forms/wiki/XForms_2.0#The_p3ptype_Property_.28deprecated.29 while it isn't for any other element. Regards, Uli. * Deprecating the mediatype element of upload in favor of @mediatype is plain wrong. I'll send another mail on this topic. -- Ulrich Nicolas Lissé
